Vitti Trading LLP is hosting a two-day bicycle wheel-building workshop for professionals and cycling enthusiasts. In the workshop participants can gain both theoretical knowledge and practical skills. This will provide a comprehensive understanding of bicycle wheel-building.

Day-1 : Introduction of Wheel Building & Demonstration( 9:30 AM – 6 PM)

Session 1 : Theoretical session on Wheel Building (9:30 AM – 1 PM)

-          Fundamentals of Wheel building

-          Introduction of components involved in wheel building.

o   Hubs

o   Rims

o   Spokes

o   Nipples

-          Calculation involved in wheel building.

o   Measurement of Hubs.

o   Effective Rim diameter (ERD).

-          Spoke lacing Patterns

o   Different kind of lacing patterns.

o   Load distribution in cross laced wheels

o   Optimal Numbers of crosses.

-          Spoke Tension

o   Importance of achieving uniform spoke tension

-          Wheel Truing

o   Radial Trueness

o   Lateral Trueness

o   RIM dish Trueness

o   Acceptable Trueness.

o   Acceptable tolerance level of spoke tension.

Session 2 : Demonstration of Wheel Building in workshop (2:30 AM – 6 PM)

-          Demonstration of components.

-          Calculation of Spoke length.

-          Hub Measurements.

-          Lacing on 32 holes wheel.

-          Tensioning.

-          Truing (Lateral, Radial).

-          Q&A.

Day 2 : Wheel Building – Hands on Session ( 9:30 AM – 6 PM)
